•Information we collect
We collect account details you provide directly, including your email address, profile preferences, meal planning inputs, and subscription status.
•How we use information
We use your information to deliver meal plans, grocery lists, recipe suggestions, account support, billing operations, and service improvements.
•Google user data
Kitchen Beacon offers "Sign in with Google" as an optional way to create or access your account. This section explains how we handle Google user data, consistent with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Data we access: When you choose to sign in with Google, we request only basic profile information through Google OAuth — your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service or data.
How we use it: We use this Google data solely to create and authenticate your account, identify you when you sign in, populate your profile, and send service-related email such as your weekly meal plans. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
Data sharing: We do not sell or transfer Google user data to third parties, except with service providers that operate Kitchen Beacon on our behalf (our authentication provider Supabase, hosting on Cloudflare, and email delivery via Resend) strictly to provide the service, or where required by law. Google user data is never shared for advertising or other unrelated purposes.
Storage & protection: Google user data is stored in our authentication and database systems (Supabase) protected by encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls limiting access to authorized systems and personnel.
Retention & deletion: We retain Google user data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Delete my data page or by emailing [email protected]. On request we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. You may also revoke Kitchen Beacon's access from your Google Account permissions page.
•Payment processing
Payments are processed by third-party providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
•Advertising & analytics cookies
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how visitors use our site. These tools set cookies and record events such as page views, account sign-ups, and subscriptions.
What we share with Meta: event data (for example, that a sign-up or purchase occurred, and the purchase value) along with a hashed (irreversible) version of your email address used to match the activity to a Meta account. Email addresses are hashed before they are sent; we do not share your raw email with Meta for advertising.
Your consent and choices: these tools load only after you accept cookies in our consent banner. You can decline at any time, and declining prevents the Meta Pixel from loading. You can also manage ad personalization in your Meta ad preferences and learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy.
•Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with service providers required to operate Kitchen Beacon, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising measurement, and payment platforms.
•Data retention
We retain account and usage data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
•Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. You may also stop receiving optional emails at any time.
•Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
